How Push To Talk (PTT) works
Push To Talk (PTT) is a mobile technology that allows your field personnel to use their GSM mobile phone just like a business radio. At the push of a button, staff can broadcast to the whole team or hold a private one-to-one conversation.
But the key advantage of PTT compared with a walkie-talkie radio system is coverage. Because Push To Talk uses the global GSM network it can work almost anywhere in the world, whereas a traditional radio can only be used when within reception of the base transmitter which can be only a few miles.

1. Internet Packet Radio System Server The IPRS server handles all the PTT call routing. |

2. Network Management System Server Manages the way the system can be used by individuals and groups. |
3. Mobile Operator Access Points (APN) Gateways between InTechnology and the mobile networks. |
4. Internet Used to connect the mobile networks and office networks through InTechnology. |
5. Mobile Operator Networks Connected to InTechnology by data channels rather than voice channels. |
6. Wi-Fi Connectivity Wi-Fi enabled handsets can also use Push To Talk. |
7. Push To Talk Handsets Most mobiles require little or no modification to be used for Push To Talk. |
8. PC Client Connects the office PC’s with the field based staff for instant communication. |
